Last thursday

i saw fools gold. i liked it.

Brittany was going to come over after school, and we were going to go out to dinner with her friends Schnur and Sarah. well, she found out her late class wasn't canceled, so we couldn' go eat with her friends - but i still met her in stone mountain and we had dinner and a movie. Some stone mountain diner and Fools Gold.

[edit: i described an actress in the movie which made my blog recieve hella ammounts of traffic, which for a while was entertaining, but now is a nusance. if you got here by looking for a link to her picture, sorry, google hasn't update it's links yet then.] :)

ok, check out this theater in stone mountain. we get there 8:30, the movies don't start til 9:30. no problem, we buy our ticket from the guy behind the concession stand who's also doubling as ticket salesman. we go eat and come back an hour later. we walk in, there are 4 workers (including him) sitting on a bench in the middle of the theater lobby. the same guy says "enjoy your movie" so we walk on through. brittany quietly asks me "what theater number are we?" as the same guy says from across the room "you're in #2" - so, we walk on in :) we sit down, wait about 5 mins, and the movie starts. we are the only 2 in the theater... :P we watch the whole movie, never once seeing anybody else, and exit the theater, where the same 4 workers are sitting on the same bench. i asked "were we the only 2 people in all of the theaters?" and he replied "yes sir!" =-0

ok, let me do some math. 8:30 to 11:30 = 3 hours. lets say there were only the 4 people working. $5.75 x 4 x 3 = $69. our two tickets were $16. is my math off? how can they afford nights like that?
