I wonder... if i use the above mentioned cable, can i use a RCA gender changer and input hidef into the projector via the DB15 monitor plug? :)
The other reason for my curiosity... i moved my living room around today. now all my a/v equipment's above the tv, along the far wall. the projector will be the only thing behind the couch. i think i'm just going to get a simple cheap white shelf for it to sit on above the couch. but, in order to get the VGA (or yellow RCA) video to it, i need to run some cables. preferably through the walls.

ok. i'm going to order some speaker cable to run my two rear satellites to my back wall, a vga cable for the projector from the laptop, a rca cable for the projector from the vcr, and... oh yeah, a network cable for the laptop :P i might as well run (2) cat5's, so i have room for expansion. i might put the pc back in the living room, who knows.
