i now have a linux firewall (smoothwall). i also have a linux cctv dvr (zoneminder), well, temporarly. next goal: two devices in one. both only use like <1% to a few percent, so why not make both onto one machien? if i do, i may have to use something other than smoothwall for the firewall. oh well.
btw, i have my old Sony DSC-F717 with tv-out going to an AXIS 241Q Video Server, which is being streamed via IP to the Zoneminder DVR. w00t at technology! i now have the ability with this hardware to mount 4 analog cameras, feed them into this Video Server, then push via IP to the DVR. :)
