Negro Friday :P

hehe. lets start with thursday. i went with my folk's to Jasper, GA to visit my cousin and her husband. i was ring bearer in their widding like 15 yrs ago :P anyways my parents wanted to leave at like 8 so i was planning on wakup up at 6:30, get ready hopefully by 7, and then head their way (25 min drive). what do i do? wake up 7:15 =-0 so i get up, jump in the shower, throw on some clothes then haul ass their way. at about 7:58 mom calls "where you at?" "i'm crossing over almond railroad" [5-7 mins away] "well hurry up" now granted, it's thanksgiving day, cops might be a lil thicker than normal... i was already driving about, eh, 10-20 over from home til there. and to say "hurry up" gah.

anyways. i get there at about 8:05. they're pretty much ready for me, so we load up and leave mere mins later. dad has the john deere gator on back of the truck so the little ones can ride or dad can drive it or something :P we go up Ga 20 past the mall of ga past ga 400 and get there just past 2 hours later.

i really like their house. small to medium front porch, 2 car garage, back deck plus a screened in porch on back, kitchen with a sink in the bar, fireplace, dining room, tray celings in all the bedrooms, double sinks in the master bath, tub and shower (actually nice size guest bath) plus a half bath behind garage. btw did i mention i really liked the house? :P

ummm... twas good food. we deep fried a turkey. that was hands down the best turkey i've ever eaten. very juicy and flavorful (thanks to the cajun sauce injected into it) mmm yeah i ate and ate twas good. even went back for seconds twas that good.

on the way up mom said "oh i didn't think to ask that if you had a girlfrind you could have brougth her with you..." CRAP! i felt so bad after she said taht. tho i think crystal had plans with her bro and mom, but still, i wish i coudl have asked. i'd rather ask and her say no then not ask and she wishes she had went. also, this half of the family was the lesser of the craziest :P so if she wanted to meet the family it would have been a good dose of not the strongest ppl lol oh well all in due time.

we did discous having the Kimble x-mas party at my house. i think we set a date of Dec 17th evening for like a diner only (no presents exchanging) we havne't had any xmas parties in years due to all the recent events. i'm kinda looking forward to it. looks liek if crystal wants to join she's get the full montey of all my relatives.... oh hell :P

we left there at like 8:30 so it was 11ish getting home (well, to my parents, rather) so i looked at some sales papers and saw nobody really had crap with goign to get. the best deals were after massive mail in rebates, so i passed. dad was cleaning up at works and fished out some more fire extinguishers, so i got aonther one for the house. 1 big one for the garage, 1 small under the sink, and now 1 med one next to the washer/dryer. i think i should be safer. i know everyone i know wonders why my house already hasn't spontionusly combusted :P

hmmm.... friday. oh wait. backup. wednesday i asked my boss joe when we were off, he said "thursday". crap. that sucks. oh well. i told him i was goin to japser for thanksgiving, and he asked if i needed friday off, for he owed me some time off for the extra long week last week. stupid me said "no, no, we should be back in time, shouldn't be a problem." gah. 5 mins later i was kicking myself. well, thursday evening i decided to call him - i called and asked if it was still cool if i got fri off. he looked at the calandar then said "have a good 4 day weekend". w00t! and that i planed to do :)

ok, so friday. hehe. i get up *early* :P (9:30 hehe) to toast some waffles. surf online. watch some ghost rider videos. read everyone's thanksgiving blogs. check email. piddly stuff. later crystal got online, i chatted with her for a while, then i went to see her after 1. picked up up we went to target (where i got my toaster!) to staples (got a router, so now i can return PCAD's) then the scenic route home. conyers traffic wasn't really all that bad when you go nearly to covington to go home =-0 hehe. we lounged around for a short while, then she was like "hey. i want some sweet tea" and i agreed, did sound good. not to mention i needed to get some cinder blocks to level the doghouse that should be coming tommorrow.. so we leave and goto some feed store. it was a horse store. twas a crap store. they had some funny harness out front so of course we made obscene jokes about it :P

we leave there and goto lowes. lemme ask you, the reader: what part of the store do you think you'd find masonry block at? i figured the gardenign department. you get pinestraw there, stepping stones, rocks, sand, fertilizer, etc... i find some petenuia for $0.25 that was purdy and i tell the cashier "i need to get 6 cinder blocks - btw whete are they?" and she states that i can go ahead and pay for em here, but they were on the completly far wall past the lumber. wtf? oh well. 6 blocks and a 25 cent flower later we leave. oh yeah, i just had to pick the half shopping cart that was the biggest POS in the store. it took nearly all i had to keep it going stroight. and when i needed to turn left, it DID take all i had. gah. ok.

so, after there we goto kroger. get some tea and cookie dough. i WAS gonna get 2 tubes of chocolate chip and 1 sugar cookie roll, you know to eat of of the roll of chocolate chip and cook the other, but she insisted no... :P so we get 2 rolls of cookie dough and the tea, then leave. when we get back chris and melanie were cookin' hamburgers so we kinda let em finish and make some yummy cookies :) they didn't turn out bad. tho i left the dough out for maybe 20 mins so it was soft to try to cut through. made some interesting cookies hehe. hell i ate more dough then cookies. she had a few cookies. i'm about to walk in the kitchen and put the leftovers up =-0 oh wait. theyr'e behind me on the bed :P i'll walk into the kitchen with them and put them up :) lol ok better

after all this we watched... the simpsons xmas dvd rip. well, she half slept, i watched it. after that i just decided to turn on team america world police. she watched it, i did sleep. evidently for a decent while. i woke up and she said "i just watched 2 puppets do it" i'm like "wtf? how long was i out?" :P good stuff.

this smoke detector battery is dieing. at night it chirps. i gonna replace the batter tommorrow if i can remember. the best schedule to change them on i've seen is on christmas. when i moved in last oct, i changed both of them (hall and kitchen) and i hoped i could wait til xmas (not that it really matters, but still) but looks like this hall one will get changed asap. the one in the kitchen will require an 8' ladder. for it's like 12' up the wall =-0

mom and dad are supposed to come by tommorrow with the doghouse. i guess dad may bring some shingles too so we can patch the dog roof - otherwise i got some spare ones here i can do it later. i'm gonna call in the morn make sure he brings the 8' ladder so i can blow out the gutters again and i can change the smoke detector battery. if he doesn't i'll just borrow the ladder from work. i also gotta get out and set the block where the house is gonna go so all we have to do is sit it down. so i gotta ask him about how long it is too (so i know the spacing of the block). hmm, busy day. hopefully crystal will be here so she can meet my parents. actually, my sister may be with them too, i think. they're going to my cousin's daughter's 1st bday party. oh snap, i gotta remind em to being the xmas tree too :) if not i can pick that up later too :P

ok since i rambled for, oh, about 45 mins now, i'll goto bed. wait, i gotta clean my room and the bedroom i destroyed (i had the closet full, i cleane dout the closet, and i'm going through the boxes) - i'll post pics tommorrow of the mess, and hopefully the clean :) hehe g'night folks!
