at the end of a day - an up :)
the 98 bike fires. :) i got it to hit once, backfire once, and now the battery's weak. but - it fires :) (yeah - it had no igntion since i got it - but i knew that before i got it - that's why it was cheap)
long story short: a cover containing the pickup coil was replaced prior to me buying the bike. the pickup coil was bent away from the flywheel, so therefor it never triggered the computer to tell the spark plugs to spark. i bent it back, and i got fire. the end.
right now the battery's charging some - i hope i can get it to idle and rev - i wanna take it for a spin around the block (short enough so i don't need the radiator - plus it leaks oil!)

and if anyone was keeping track - the pickup coil was actually bad on my yellow bike a few years ago - the pickup coil was causing the 88 fz600 to misfire at low/medium/high rpm's. at least this time it was just bent...
